Our Mission
In a world of transcontinental airliners and satellite navigation, genuine exploration and adventure seems a thing of the past. Hogwash! Adventure is in everyone’s back yard.
The American Great Lakes are our backyard. With a surface area of 94,250 square miles and over 4,500 miles of coastline, this inland sea is vast and untamed. The mission of the Great Lakes Expeditionary Club is to explore, enjoy, promote, and protect these wild waters through the creation of regional maritime expeditions and races.
